Every Wednesday (unless Dan is out or the market isn’t in good shape)... Dan will release the major stocks he’s watch he could trade options on.
Tech stocks continue their retreat:
Momentum stocks under pressure.
Rotation into value/defensive names, especially as AI-linked names like Palantir, Micron, Robinhood, Marvell, AppLovin, Super Micro Computer (SMCI), and AMD drop sharply.
Key movers since yesterday:
Lowe’s (LOW): +3% after strong earnings and guidance.
Target (TGT): -10% early after weak sales and CEO news.
Travelers (TRV), Walmart (WMT): Both positive, strong Dow components.
Bitcoin: Trading at $114,281 after recent volatility.
Oil: U.S. crude futures +1% on supply news.
Hot Stocks to Watch
Hawkins (HWKN): Up 35% in three months, strong momentum.
Talen Energy (TLN): Up 53% over three months, momentum stock.
MGIC (also cited for momentum).
Lowe’s (LOW): Beating expectations, buyout news.
Target (TGT): Under pressure; possible rebound watch post-earnings.
Palantir (PLTR): Down 5 days in a row, speculative bounce candidate.
Sector Trends
Big Tech/AI: Moisture evaporating after months of outperformance, beware more volatility (names: Nvidia, Oracle, Palantir, AMD, SMCI).
Retail: Mixed earnings—watch Target (TGT), Lowe’s (LOW), Walmart (WMT).
Energy: Oil stocks get a lift from rising crude.
Value/Defensive: Investors rotate to names like Travelers and Dow “steady” stocks.
Introducing a brand new way to trade alongside Dan
(you can do it for free next week)
Just this week, we launched a brand new trading floor for Options Navigator.
Rather than doing things through Zoom where it’s clunky and hard to find links…
Take a look:

Next week, starting Monday August 25th, you can gain access to this room FOR FREE.
Yes, you get a first look along with our paid subscribers as we continue to add value to Options Navigator (at no extra charge for you).
You get to be in the room with me trading, with our staff that are also traders… and you can DM me or the team as you need to throughout the day.
It’s something I’m excited to share with you and give you free access.
But you must join the Open House by clicking here.
We are only doing these Open Houses every few months now… so you may not get another chance for awhile.
