Every Wednesday (unless Dan is out or the market isn’t in good shape)... Dan will release the major stocks he’s watching he could trade options on.
This week we have:
…gold hitting all time highs.
…retail stocks releasing earnings.
…more choppy markets.
This week he’s watching:
Momentum & Upside:
Chewy (CHWY): Analysts remain bullish ahead of earnings (Sept 10), citing pet market strength, growing market share, and robust business trends. Up 23% YTD and positioned for further breakout.
Perimeter Solutions (PRM): A unique play in firefighting foam—Morgan Stanley flags this as “defensive” and recession-resistant, with strong 2025 performance and new M&A catalysts.
Nu Holdings (NU): Brazil’s digital bank keeps outperforming on metrics, with a price target increase and tech-driven growth. Their earnings surpassed expectations, and the bullish case is building.
Micron (MU): Chipmaker tied to AI/data center boom. Recently raised earnings guidance, trades well below all-time highs. Value, growth, and dividend story in one.
Cadence Design Systems (CDNS): AI-driven chip design tools in demand; leader in electronic design automation, set for structural growth.
Intriguing Turnarounds & Value:
PayPal (PYPL): A “cheap” tech play with bounce-back potential, with analysts spotlighting September as a good entry point.
FICO: Still seeing analyst love for its software and analytics.
Rubrik (RBRK): Gaining traction for data management and AI storage.
HIMS & HERS (HIMS): High-growth telehealth with a loyal user base.
Macro Themes:
The Fed’s rate decision (Sept 17) and September’s historical weakness means volatility may spike—focus on defensive and quality growth.
Gold is hitting all-time highs—watch gold miners and related ETFs for breakout plays.
Bold & Fresh Angles:
Defensive and “boring” can shine in choppy Septembers: Perimeter Solutions, utility names, insurance, and select healthcare could outperform.
Earnings season isn’t fully done! Eyes on Zscaler, DocuSign, Macy’s for potential post-earnings volatility and options trades.
Unsure of what trading strategy you should do for your stage of life?
Have you bought a trading course or some expensive program & it did nothing for you?
Most of us who work at University of Options are also active traders. (some, full-time day traders).
We had one trader on our team spend over 50k (!) on trading programs… and he works here now because University of Options and Dan Rawitch actually showed him how to do well trading. And now he trades full-time with his kids.
If you’ve been in that boat… money wasted on courses/programs.
Or, maybe you’re retired looking for more income.
Perhaps you’re looking for a career change. Many of our traders used to work in mortgage industry before becoming traders. It’s possible to do so.
Take a look at what strategies we have and set up a call. There’s no hard pitch or anything. Talk to people and a trader who’s been there.
